The Met Gala, formerly known as the Costume Institute Gala, is an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. Unlike other high profile fundraisers, this event features an annual theme that sets the tone for the year’s fashion exhibit, as well as the red-carpet apparel.
